BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- "In the Beginning" brings Biblical stories to life in the style of yesteryear's radio dramas, complete with some of Hollywood's best voice talent and high production values. Series writer, director and producer Kevin Herren has assembled a talented team to make this idea a reality. Voice actors lending their talents to the first volume of "In the Beginning" include Joe Estevez, Daniel Roebuck, Nancy Stafford, Michael Sorich, Kyle Hebert, Kimberly Woods, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Tim Goodwin and Jason J. Lewis.

In the Beginning" is distributed by Blackstone Audio, the nation's largest audiobook publisher. The audio drama can be found at all major retailers, including Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Walmart, Target and Indigo (in Canada). Digital downloads are available from iTunes, Amazon's Audible and Downpour.

"'In the Beginning' is not just another audio book," explains Herren. "It's theater for the mind – an immersive experience that truly fires the imagination. Our vision is to bring back the essence of the traditional radio show of the early 20th century, and we want to do that with family-friendly, engaging and educational stories. The Bible is an obvious source for meaningful and provocative narrative material to help us meet those goals."

Volume 1 of "In the Beginning" includes three titles – "Creation," "The Great Flood" and "Let My People Go." "Creation" recounts the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, followed by original sin and expulsion from the garden. The story of Noah's Ark is the subject of "The Great Flood," while "Let My People Go" tells the gripping tale of Moses and the Israelites, the 10 plagues and the eventual Exodus from Egypt.
